About

Kyle Myrick

Kyle is a Boston native, born and raised in Jamaica Plain. He performed his first massages at the age of 8 when he would rub his mom’s back at the end of a long day. When he was 15 he became more interested in how the body works and stays healthy and wanted that for himself so he started training in Tai chi and Kung fu. Over the years he also learned how to breakdance and joined a professional dance company. His passion for movement, as well as a long-time interest in science, led Kyle to pursue a career in bodywork.

Kyle graduated from Cortiva institute in Watertown in October 2011 and is a member of the AMTA. He has received training in modalities including Swedish, myofascial release, deep tissue, sports massage, neuromuscular therapy and completed a 100 hour orthopedic massage certification course taught by Tom Karis OMT.

Kyle has a strong background in anatomy and physiology. He works to decrease both general stiffness and specific pain and injuries by returning the client to a more neutral posture, as well as decreasing adhesions and restrictions in the muscles and the fascia.. This balances the tensional forces present throughout the body, increases fluidity of movement, and decreases likelihood of injury.

Kyle has devoted himself not only to massage, but also to a life filled with compassion for all living things. He brings that compassionate energy into his massage sessions, providing clients with a complete mind and body experience that leaves them relaxed, rejuvenated and pain free.

In his free time Kyle enjoys breakdancing, practicing martial arts and meditating.
